BBC LOOK AHEAD

It is a four-level course for all learners who need to learn English for the purpose of work, travel, study or pleasure. It covers all levels from beginner through advanced.

The course is divided into 5 levels that introduce information on a gradual basis. There are also 3 tests in each level to check learners progression.

Beginner Level

Through this level, learners begin with a preparatory stage to grasp the language from scratch and get the general basics.

Look Ahead 1 :

Learners begin this level with basic grammar and vocabulary. They are exposed to useful phrases and expressions that  might be needed at work, in the restaurant, at the airport or at the hotel.

As an outcome of this stage, learners would be able to introduce themselves, ask for and give directions and many other relevant daily life aspects. All that is done through interactive learning using audio-visual materials.

Look Ahead 2:

Learners would be introduced to new grammatical structures and vocabulary appropriate to the new topics presented in the upper level, such as talking about hobbies and interests and free time. They also learn how to make comparisons between people and things, and how to use the past, present and future tenses. Also, in this level, they learn about phrasal verbs and collocations which help them to talk about themselves and express personality.

Look Ahead 3:
This level corresponds to English users who are able to talk to native speakers. Learners should be able to comprehend speeches and phrases fluently and with ease, in addition to reading texts and listening to different topics and perfectly comprehend them.

Look Ahead 4:

Learners are able to have conversations with native speakers about various and complex topics related to scientific, social, and lifestyle aspects. They show mastery of grammatical skills in this level as well as a great score of vocabulary.
